Food and Beverage, Medication:

Lounge and Cafe cars offer sandwiches, snacks and beverages all day from early morning until late evening. Dining cars offer full meal service, breakfast, lunch and dinner, appropriate to the time of day. Hours of operation of food-service can vary depending on the train operation.

Alcohol: Passengers are not permitted to consume their private stock of alcoholic beverages in a public area. Only sleeping car accommodation for which a passenger has a valid ticket are considered non-public areas.

Personal Food/Medication: FDA regulations prohibit Amtrak personnel heating, storing or handling food, beverage, medication, infant formula or baby food that you bring on board. We can supply ice for your small container if you need to keep baby food or medicine cool.

Note: If you require medication en route, carry it with you. Do not pack medication in check baggage or leave it in your car on Auto Train.
